This set of four bands, each offering varying resistance levels, has become an essential tool for stretching, mobility workouts, warm-ups, and recovery.

3.0 out of 5 starsGood quality - correct length?
Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2017
This is my first set of resistance bands, and I purchased them for the sole purpose of pull up assistance. I purchased both the blue and green bands based on my current weight and the number of pull ups I can currently perform unassisted.

The bands came SUPER fast. I am not sure if it's because of Prime or because of the seller, but the bands qualified for free one-day shipping. That was amazing. If that is something the seller setup, I really appreciate that. If it's not, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and give them some praise for it.

The bands are really nice. I've used them a couple of times already and they seem to be high quality bands. I was slightly worried they would take some time to straighten out from being folded and rubber banded, but that didn't happen at all. The bands immediately unfolded and are in perfect condition. Quality (so far) is A+.

My ONLY complaint - and I am not even sure if this is valid - is the length of the bands. Like I said, this is my first set of resistance bands so I have nothing to compare against, but these bands do seem kind of short. I am 6'1 and I use a pull up station in my apartment complex gym. I attach the band around the pull up bar as instructed in the materials provided by WODFitters and everything else I can find online. Once I have done this, I find it VERY DIFFICULT to get into the band for the pull up assistance. I have to hold my body up in the air and try to get my knee into the band without (1) falling or (2) the band shifting all over the place and preventing me from getting my knee in. One day I tried using both bands and putting one knee in each - yeah, that wasn't happening. And as far as getting my foot into the band? Absolutely not. There is no way that is happening either. I do not know if this is because the pull up station is high, or maybe I am doing something wrong - and I understand that the bands do need to be a little bit short so that you can have the resistance to provide you some assistance. However, these (to me anyways) border on being too short. Do they stretch out? Maybe this will get better over time? I just don't know. Again, this is my first set and maybe all bands are this length - if I try another brand and find the same thing I will update my review because these do seem to be great quality. But, from a beginners eye these do seem short and it does make my workout with them (so far) slightly awkward.

5.0 out of 5 stars Durable, portable, and very versatile!

I do all of my working out and training at home, so I was interested in purchasing this so I could add some versatility into my workouts!

* * I have updated my review a little since buying the red band I've also purchased the black and purple one!

A few things I great enjoy about these bands:

Versatility - Since I starting using this I’ve added numerous exercises to my program, especially where there are limitations due to lack of equipment. The most helpful has assisted dips and pull-ups. I weigh about 230 lbs with a heavier lower body so even just one pull-up was out of the question before using these bands. If needed you can also easily combine and use bands together for a little added resistance if need be.

Portability – though the original intent was for the benefits while at home, they have also proven to be of great use while I’m on my trips for weeks on end. Depending on where I’m traveling for work I might not have access to a hotel exercise facility or nearby gym. This takes care of that issue because they are so easy to wrap up and store away without taking up much space! Because they’re so travel heavy I usually end up taking 2 or 3 different bands with me! When I have them on my travels I’m able to add a variety of exercises at my disposal with resistance. Occasionally it’s a challenge to figure out how I’m going to do a few exercises but sometimes it just takes a little creativity.

Durability – these bands can take a beating and still hold up! Even when stretched past the recommended limits they still keep their integrity. Though as a safety precaution you should always check your bands to make sure there is no chance of them snapping during your workout!

All in all I absolutely would recommend these bands for you to try! Great quality and great price! They even come with a 60 day satisfaction guarantee and a lifetime warranty, so you’re taken care of if something (by some crazy chance) happens.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great workout tool!

I recently moved cross-country and haven't found a gym to join yet. I don't have a spare room or garage space to devote to a home gym or ever an olympic bar set up, and I am worried about what dumbbells might do to my hardwood floors. I saw a video by scooby1961 on Youtube plugging these bands and thought I would give it a try. I bought the second lightest band, the black 30-60. So far, I really like it. I have had it about a week and am still experimenting with it, but I see great promise in its use. I am roughly 6' tall, and I find that it is a great length and resistance for lateral raises when placing the band under one foot. It is too light for two arm bicep curls, but by placing the bands under both feet and widening my stance I can get enough resistance for single arm curls in high reps. Placing the band under a single foot is great for standing one arm shoulder presses too. The band feels very sturdy, much more than I could have imagined. I plan to pair this with my suspension trainer at the local park for a better workout, where I will have stable attachment points to do rows, chest presses, flies, and some isometric core work. In all, I guarantee that I will be buying at least the next size up, and will probably get a full set for both myself and my son. As with anything, I would recommend that if you have the opportunity try these out somewhere before you buy them. The resistance curve is unique, as it increases throughout the range of motion and basically eliminates the momentum of free-weights. However, if you are like me and have to take a blind purchase, its great that you can buy just one of the set at a low price.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5' 7'' 155lbs, Get the Black Bands for Exercises
Reviewed in the United States on November 26, 2016

For starters I got the black band.

The reason I wanted this is because I was in an area temporarily and didn't want to commit myself to a gym. I do love weight lifting but I hadn't done so for nearly a year and I just didn't want to pay for starting and ending and new member fees. I just wanted to get fit but without the hassle that gyms usually demand. I also lived in a house that wasn't mine and would only be traveling to and fro through plane. I didn't want to buy any weights for myself, not even dumbbells, because I wouldn't be able to fly back home with those and even if I could I had some at home.

The black bands were pretty good for me. I use them for exercises, not to supplement exercises. What I mean by that is that I use them to do my bicep/tricep/and shoulder exercises, not to help me do an easier pull up. With that in mind, if you're going to use them for purposes such as me, you need to get the right resistance weight and the chart isn't going to help you. At this point it's all about what resistance you can take.

I am 5'7'' and weight 155lbs. I have been going to the gym on and off for about 3 years now. Full clothed you could tell I'm not fat and more on the lean muscular side, but I'm not that toned at all. So if you're in my position, the black bands would be right for you. I could have even gotten away with the red bands honestly. If I did, I would be able to do a lot more reps than I am doing now. I am very glad I didn't go for anything more than a black because I wouldn't be able to handle them.

If you want more resistance you can always shorten the range you're letting yourself have by stepping on more of the band before lifting up, but you can't have less resistance than what the band offers you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great pullup/muscle-up tool for beginners to advanced athletes!
Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2017

I own a small gym and coach group fitness classes and personal training. These bands have been the perfect solution for my clients who are THIS CLOSE to getting their strict pullups, but need just a little help getting out of the bottom hanging position. I've been very hesitant to purchase bands because I didnt want my athletes to become dependent on them or learn incorrect technique. However, we've been able to work assisted pullups with these bands into our programming over the last couple of weeks and my clients have already seen tremendous improvements!

For beginners, I loop these over the pullup bar and have them perform band pulldowns to work on the vertical pulling motion while building lat, shoulder and back strength.

For more advanced clients who show control in their jumping pullups and negatives, we loop the band around the top of the pullup bar and have the athlete put their knee or foot in the bottom of the band, then perform strict pullups from that position. When someone goes to failure, you can add an additional band on top of the one they were currently using and this extra resistance usually lets them squeak out a few more reps.

For athletes who are already proficient in pullups and who are working on bar or ring muscle ups, we've used the bands to work drills and teach turnover technique.

My only regret is that I didnt purchase these bands sooner! Awesome product and I will be adding more WODFitter bands to our equipment inventory soon!

4.0 out of 5 stars good product & nice company
Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2015
Color: #1 Red 10-35 lbsVerified Purchase
I'm rating this product a 4/5 for 3 reasons. First, the product itself is good quality. I use the band for assisted pull-ups and to hold various stretching positions. The band holds its tension and does not appear to stretch out to the point where it becomes un-useful for a person of my weight and stature. I am 5'4" and weigh 140 pounds and use the band 3-4 times a week. I have built my own version of a cross-fit gym in my garage and so it is just me using the band. At this time I am unsure how long this band may last so that's why I'm giving it a 4/5. I will have to update on durability of the band after several weeks of use though. The second reason is for the customer service with WODFitters. Although, I used amazon to purchase this band, I received an email from WODFitters confirming shipment of the product as well as a follow-up to make sure that the product was satisfactory and delivered on time as promised. The email also contained an attachment to directions on how to use the band properly (in case I did't received it with the shipped product). I thought this was a nice touch from the company. I felt that the company cares about their product and customer satisfaction. I have delt with some really terrible companies in the recent past with very poor customer service and alot of BS excuses as to why they can't or haven't yet sent my order, or refund. I feel that these ratings should also reflect the customer service aspect of the product. Third, based on my short time with the band and the fact that I haven't had to return or get a refund on the band, (therefore dealing with customer service on a personal level), I can not give a 5/5 rating. However, judging from previous experiences, I think that WODFitters would probably make sure that customer satisfaction is a priority.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality brand among exercise bands

I've been using exercise bands as my primary daily replacements for weights for about 4 yrs now. Bands don't last forever. They break when used on sharp edges and over time they become brittle. Wodfitters is a quality brand among bands. I've tried others with similar quality and some that were garbage. Use the biggest carabiners you can get your hands on. They stress the bands less then the smaller clips.
